Tree Lighting Celebrations on the East End

There are plenty of holiday happenings to celebrate the season on the East End of Long Island. This week, there are some lighting events not to be missed on both North and South Forks.This Friday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. visit Orient Beach State Park for their 33rd annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Santa will light the tree and be available for pictures afterward. Hot chocolate and cookies will be served. In the spirit of the season, winter coats and non-perishable food items will be collected for families in need.

The Riverhead Holiday Light Show Returns

The Riverhead Holiday Light Show will return for its second year to the Long Island Sports Park location on Edwards Avenue in Calverton. The show will feature dozens of dazzling displays, with additions this year.  The show is approximately 20-25 minutes long.  After the show, they are offering the option to take a photo with Santa in the brand new Santa’s Village area.This is a festive opportunity to enjoy creative and colorful light displays to help put you in a holiday mood.

Local Chocolatier Launches Kickstarter
