Join us out on the East End for a 4th of July like no other! This year, the local festivities are ready to dazzle and delight, offering something for everyone. Get ready to watch the skies light up with colorful fireworks displays throughout the week. The fun kicks off with the Greenport Fire Department’s Annual Carnival on July 2nd from 6p – 11p, featuring thrilling fireworks on July 3rd and 6th at 10p. It’s the perfect way to bookend a week of patriotic celebrations, with rides, games, and mouth-watering fair food adding to the excitement.

If you’re looking for a more laid-back vibe, grab a blanket and head to Montauk’s Umbrella Beach on the 4th at 9:15p. Relax as you watch the breathtaking fireworks against the backdrop of the ocean, creating a magical and serene experience. It’s the ideal setting for families who want to enjoy a quieter celebration under the stars. Rounding out the weekend on the North Fork, over Orient Harbor, you can catch a spectacular display over the water on July 6th at 9:15. Boaters are invited to raft up in the harbor to watch the fireworks display.

Why not amp up the fun at Alive on 25? Riverhead’s walkable downtown transforms into a bustling street fair on July 5th at 5p, with live music, vendors, food, and entertainment galore. Dance along to the beats, explore local treasures, and cap off the night with a stunning fireworks display at 9p. Alive on 25 brings the community together in a vibrant celebration that showcases the best of Riverhead.

For parade lovers, we’ve got you covered! All are invited to join a sweet small-town parade in New Suffolk on the 4th at 11a complete with antique cars, small boats on trailers, bicycles, wagons, and more! Once the parade ends at New Suffolk Beach, attendees are welcome to gather for the annual reading of the Declaration of Independence with refreshments. Or jump over to Southold village at noon as they host their 26th Annual Independence Day Parade, where kids can join the fun by riding floats or decorating their bikes. If you are on the South Fork, witness the oldest and largest July 4th parade on Long Island in Southampton Village at 10a.

If you are looking for that little extra something this 4th of July, consider taking a cruise in Montauk to witness the fireworks from a unique vantage point. Set sail with the Montauk Chamber of Commerce & Visit Montauk on their annual Stars Over Montauk Fireworks Cruise, complete with cocktails,hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner and music! Must be 21 years and older to attend and you can purchase tickets here

For those seeking an Americana experience this holiday, try an evening with The Mudflats as part of The Rites of Spring Music Festival. This ticketed event is set in the heart of Cutchogue Village on the North Fork from 7 to 8:30p. You will be in for some foot-stomping original music and vocal harmonies. As a tribute to this nation’s independence, visit Jamesport for the Greater Jamesport Civic Association’s 6th Annual Independence Day Commemoration. Festivities begin at 10a by the gazebo at the corner of Main Road and South Jamesport Avenue and include a presentation of the U.S. flag, a performance of patriotic songs, and guest speakers.
