69th Annual Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival

As June arrives on the East End, we roll right into one of the biggest staples that the North Fork has to offer: the Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival! Now in its 69th year, this festival isn’t just a celebration of summer; it’s a beacon of support for the community, raising funds for over 57 local organizations and nonprofits. From June 12th to the 16th, the festival promises days filled with laughter, joy, and of course, strawberries galore!

At the Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival, the air is filled with excitement and the possibilities are endless! With over 25 exhilarating rides and attractions to choose from, you can easily turn a day or evening into an unforgettable adventure. But wait, there’s more! Dive into one of our beloved community traditions at Hulling Night, where families and friends come together to hull the strawberries destined for the festival’s mouthwatering treats. It’s a time-honored ritual that adds an extra layer of sweetness to this already delightful affair.

From classic strawberry shortcakes to refreshing daiquiris, decadent pies, and even chocolate-dipped delights, there’s no shortage of ways to indulge in the luscious fruit. But the culinary adventure doesn’t end there! The international food court tantalizes taste buds with a smorgasbord of delights, from savory gyros to crispy funnel cakes, juicy roasted corn, and more. And for those seeking handmade treasures, the multitude of vendors offer everything from exquisite jewelry to cozy knitwear and aromatic candles. 

 

Live Entertainment

Prepare to be dazzled every night as the festival comes alive with a kaleidoscope of entertainment. From the annual Lions Club talent show showcasing local talent to live musicians, exhilarating raffles, and mesmerizing fireworks displays, there’s never a dull moment at the festival. And for those craving a taste of competitive spirit, every year the  Major League Eating’s World Strawberry Shortcake Eating Championship returns to the North Fork as the world’s best eat their way to victory. Want to meet royalty? Every year the Mattituck Lions Club crowns a very lucky young woman who has impressed the judges with her poise, academic success, range of interests and a commitment to community service as their very own Strawberry Queen!  Join in the celebration on Saturday, June 15th at 4p to witness the announcement.
