4th Annual Greenport Halloween Village

The Greenport Business Improvement District announces its 4th Annual Greenport Halloween Village. In collaboration with the Village of Greenport, Saturday, October 28th will turn our seaport town into a haunted, and extremely fun Halloween Village. The day kicks off with the Village of Greenport’s 11th Annual Halloween Parade at 11am. The parade line up is at 10:30 at the Floyd Memorial Library. March along with all the Goblins and Ghouls as they follow the Greenport Fire Department’s Antique Fire Engine #33 down Main Street to Mitchel Park. Carousel Rides will be free from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

At 12noon to 3pm, Greenport Village Businesses will host Trick or Treat for all hobgoblins, witches, and apparitions. The frighteningly fun Scavenger Hunt returns with “Skeletons in our Closets.” Both children and adults will make their way around the Village and find the numbered skeletons in establishment windows, displays and just about anywhere. Forms can be  found around the Village as well as on www.greenportvillage.com.

Lisa Dabrowski brings “Lizzie Borden” to Life with her tale of woe. Watch for her to appear throughout Greenport Village with hatchet in hand! Miss Vicky, head of children and family services, from the Floyd Memorial Library, will have Story Time for little monsters of all ages at the Blue Duck Bakery Courtyard at 12:30pm and 1:30 PM. The North Fork Kid Connect, Inc. will be at the Polo Grounds “Fireman’s Row” for Trunk or Treat from 2pm-8pm.

Plenty of restaurants and eateries will be open for nibbles and boos for adult Phantoms and their little beasts. Enjoy many Halloween themed foods, goodies and specialty drinks for the unafraid.
