Summer Concert & Dine at Borghese Vineyard

featuring Ulysses Quartet
Christina Bouey, violin | Rhiannon Banerdt, violin | Colin Brookes, viola | Grace Ho, cello

Summer Concert & Dine at Borghese Vineyard is a new event that combines classical music and a delicious dinner paired with Borghese wine. It’s an intimate indoor concert featuring the exceptional Ulysses String Quartet performing music by Molina, Richter, Beethoven and traditional folk songs while the audience are seated at the table.Wine tasting and a charming dinner presented by the chef Martine Abitbol will be served at the table during the intermission of the concert.

” This is a program that celebrates the incredible variety and vitality of the string quartet
repertoire. We will open with a work written for us, Patricio Molina’s Selva Sonora—“Sounds of the Jungle”—full of the rhythms and spirit of Latin American dances. Next, a moment for
reflection and hope for peace with our own Christina Bouey’s arrangement of Max Richter’s
powerful On the Nature of Daylight. The first part of the concert will close with selections of
Nordic folk music expertly scored for quartet by the Danish String Quartet.
In the second part, Beethoven’s masterful Op. 59 No. 3 will take us on a journey that reflects the full breadth of the human experience, from the tragic to the heroic, with tenderness and laughter along the way. ”  Ulysses Quartet
