Gulls of Long Island at Quogue Wildlife Refuge

Join Kim Lato, a PhD student at Stony Brook University and native Long Islander to learn all about our native gull species. Gulls might pester you at the beach for your lunch, however these common animals are a critical part of marine ecosystems. In this presentation, Kim will introduce you to the common gull species found on Long Island, where they nest, what they eat, and where they are going. Learn about GPS tracking data for these birds, and how our actions as humans can impact the behavior of these animals.

This free program is co-hosted by the Eastern Long Island Audubon Society and Quogue Wildlife Refuge.
