The Sag Harbor Cinema will play a medley of documentary footage, captured during famous expeditions to the Poles and Terra Nova, on the building’s street vitrines and third-floor staircase — such as Roald Admusen’s trips to the South Pole in 1910-12 and in 1925. Also, Ernest Shackleton and “The Endurance Expedition” (1914) and “The Great White Silence” (1924), a film on Robert Falcon Scott’s attempt to reach the South Pole.

StoryWalk Trail Hike
Mashashimuet Park and Long Pond Greenbelt

As part of the annual HarborFrost activities, join the Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt for a fun walk for kids of all ages along the StoryWalk Trail in Sag Harbor (approx. 30 minutes). The more adventurous can continue on for another half hour to see Long Pond and learn about the amazing Long Pond Greenbelt. Meet at 10 a.m. at the bleachers at Mashashimuet Park on the corner of Main Street and Jermain Avenue in Sag Harbor. Leader: Dai Dayton, 631-745-0689.

Culinary Stroll
Starting at Il Capuccino

Sample some of Sag Harbor’s finest foods on this casual stroll through the village sponsored by the Sag Harbor Hysterical Society. The tour starts at Il Capuccino at noon with stops along the way at Lulu Kitchen & Bar, Page at 63 Main and K Pasa. $50 includes dining specialties at each stop. Cash bar. The tour ends with plenty of time for guests to make their way to Long Wharf for the fireworks. Prizes for the best decorated chef’s hat. Breakwater Yacht Club

Ice Carving by Ice Melodies
Long Wharf

The Long-Island based ice carving company Ice Melodies returns to HarborFrost to carve beautiful ice sculptures on Long Wharf. Master carver Richard Daly is a national award-winning ice carving artist and creates a unique and personal experience. With over 200 ice carving competition titles won, including five Gold Medals at the U.S. National Ice Carving Championships, Ice Melodies strives for perfection with every sculpture. This year organizers are embracing a nautical theme. In addition, look for smaller ice sculptures throughout the business district which carry through the same theme.

Bay Street Theater

New York comedian Joseph Vecsey returns with a brand new season of All Star Comedy, featuring comedians Nick Whitmer, Ben DeMarco, and Mike Sicoli. Since it began, the series has been headlined by stand-up veterans and fresh faces alike, growing to become the East End’s premiere live comedy series.
