The Eastern End of Long Island, New York City’s backyard beach getaway, offers a variety of fun activities for all ages and interests. From Riverhead to Greenport to Montauk, there are the Hamptons, North Fork farms and vineyards, breweries, scenic beaches, and stunning views. From tall ship festivals to music festivals to drag racing events, to the Long Island Aquarium, Splish Splash, and the Parrish Art Museum, there’s something for everyone.

Hike Sarnoff Stomp in Riverhead

A few brisk hours in the woods, featuring Wildwood Lake, the Red and Yellow Loops, and then a bit more on the Pine Barrens Trail.  Around 13 miles – fast pace, only one quick stop for snacks.

Bring water and snacks.

Meet at the top end of Parking Field 1 at Suffolk Community College, Eastern Campus (NY 27 to Exit 61, take C. R. 51 toward Riverhead, go 4.5 miles to right turn at Speonk-Riverhead Road (sign for college), then right turn onto campus, quick left at welcome sign, quick right to top/west end of Field 1).
