Titans of the 20th CenturyMusic Marathon for two pianos
TITANS OF THE 20th CENTURY is the first Piano Marathon at the Rites of Spring Music Festival presenting the music of the most powerful musical figures in the last century.
TITANS OF THE 20th CENTURY is a wonderful program that will explore piano masterpieces of Darius Milhaud, Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Leonard Bernstein, looking at how these composers’ incorporated rhythm, impressionism, and eclecticism into their innovative works. The 20th century was a dynamic time for artists across the globe. New frontiers opened by aviation, recording technology, and telecommunications channeled to artists stimulating ideas and materials from all over the world.
This is a rousing musical proposal presented by Rites of Spring Music Festival as a preview of the new season kicking off in May.
This is a production of
