The East End of Long Island is a popular destination for 4th of July celebrations, parades and fireworks displays in our local villages, parks or beaches. If you are looking to plan your holiday weekend, here are a few fireworks and parades to check out on the North and South Forks.

The tradition continues! The 14th annual Heritage Day program will start with a parade* down Orient’s Village Lane led by the Grand Marshal; followed by a welcome and invocation at the Old Point Schoolhouse; the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance; “God Bless America” sung by Franklin Mastrangelo; the reading of the Declaration of Independence by Oysterponds stalwarts; after which all are invited to Poquatuck Park for hot dogs, sweet treats**, kids’ games, and music by Oysterponds favorites the Mudflats.
* We invite kids to patriotically decorate their bikes and join the parade; they should assemble at 11:30am on Oysterponds Lane, behind the Grand Marshals. Prizes will be awarded!
Presented by the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, the summer concert series is free to the public and features a variety of musicians. Catch a show every Monday through August.
The Village of Greenport presents Dances in the Park, free live concerts Mondays through the summer. Bring your lawn chairs and beach towels and dancing shoes!

6:00pm- Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at Sammy’s, located at 448 West Lake Drive, Montauk
7:00pm – Boarding for the Fireworks Cruise will begin at the Viking Fleet dock adjacent to Sammy’s
9:15pm – Fireworks display begins!
Tickets are $150 per person which include beer, wine, seltzer and an all-American buffet dinner, and live performance by the Realm Band. Attendees must be 21 years or older.
The annual Street Fair will maintain all the great traditions that Mattituck holds dear, including great food, live music, and many diverse & unique arts and crafts to be sold. We’ll also host another year of Little Miss Mattitucks & Little Mister Mattituck!
