East End Food Institute’s Indoor Farmers Market

East End Food Market in Riverhead is a project of East End Food Institute running Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm through April 30, 2022 at 139 Main Road in Riverhead. With over 40 local food vendors, live music, activities from local nonprofits, and a rotating list of wineries sponsored by Long Island Wine Country, the market is perfect for day trippers and area residents of the North and South Forks looking to enjoy the bounty of the East End.

Special offering on Saturday, February 26 include:

Pop Up booths from 1760 Homestead Farm, Le Fusion, Lucky Lou’s Gourmet Rice Pudding, South Shore Mushrooms, Saint James Brewery, Muffin & James Doggy Bag Treats, and Rosie’s Country Bake Shop

– Wine tastings from Chronicle Wines, Lenz Winery, Macari Vineyards

– Local nonprofit Peconic Community School

Southold Winter Festival

Ice sculpting, s’mores, a mariachi band, baked potato bar and stargazing are on tap for Southold Town’s first ever winter festival on Feb. 19.Taking place along Route 25 between Wells Avenue and Silversmith’s Corner, will be organized into two main hubs.

In the parking lot across from the Southold Library, will feature a DJ, three live ice sculptures, face painting by Sarah Hope and a booth from the Custer Institute for solar gazing.

The Custer Institute will also open at 5 p.m. that evening for stargazing.

At Silversmith’s Corner, there will be corn hole courts (courtesy of Greenport Harbor Brewing Company), a seafood station by Southold Fish Market and Girl Scout cookies for sale from Troop 2981.

The Southold Historical Museum will also be open for tours, the Giving Room is hosting an art exhibit and free smoothie tastings and the First Presbyterian Church of Southold will have a baked potato bar, popcorn, hot chocolate and fire pits for s’mores.

The Center for Advocacy, Support and Transformation (located in the former Southold Opera House) will be hosting story time and an ice castle activity for kids hosted by the Southold Library at 10 a.m., cupcake decorating at 12:30 p.m. Music Brady Rymer at 1:30 p.m. and a mariachi performance, mulled wine and cider by Mariachi Sol Mixteco at 3 p.m.

17th Annual Long Island Winterfest

A  CELEBRATION OF LOCAL CULTURE:  FOOD, CRAFT BEVERAGES, ART, MUSIC & OUTDOOR EXPERIENCES ON THE BEAUTIFUL EAST END OF LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK.  

FEBRUARY 2022

A 4 week mid-winter music, wine, craft beer and performing arts festival that takes place throughout Long Island’s unique vineyard tasting rooms, breweries, hotels, legendary theaters and other historic venues. 

What visitors can expect from Winterfest this year will be options to #TravelSafe. The website will feature local businesses who are creating special events or discounts for Winterfest visitors. The focus will be a resource for where to go, what to do and what is open, including plenty of outdoor experiences for all ages.

Burn Out the Bar

Join us on Saturday, October 16th as we say farewell to another wonderful season down at Seaside Grill. Live Music starts at 1p with Erin Chase and 2 Man Acoustical Jam closes out the night at 5p. Half off all drinks and food from our special Burn Out the Bar Menu! Bonfire all day!

Montauk Farmer’s Market

The Montauk Farmers Market continues on Fridays through November 19 on The Green in downtown Montauk. “Bake It, Catch It, Grow It,” will include some new vendors along with your old favorites. Some COVID rules will remain in effect. Masks will be required to enter for non-vaccinated individuals. The Market will be open every Friday 9:00am – 2:00pm, throughout the Fall and run through November 19.

Harvest Dinner

Celebrate the season with delicious food and friendly company at Southold Historical Museum’s Harvest Dinner at O’Mally’s Restaurant. A complete dinner will be served, including salad, entrée, coffee/tea, and dessert. There will also be a 50/50 raffle! Take-out is available.  Tickets are on sale at the museum’s office at the Prince Building, 54325 Main Road, Southold, Mon. – Fri. 10am-2pm through November 3.  Tickets will also be for sale at O’Mally’s on the day of the dinner. Tickets include gratuity.
