Godspell -2012 Revised Version

The Riverhead Performing and Fine Arts Summer Academy proudly presents their first summer production, “Godspell – 2012 Revised Edition.” 

“Godspell” is a musical with comedic elements about the Gospel of Matthew following a group of people who join together to tell the stories of Jesus. It first opened on Broadway in 1971 and has been revived several times with altered storylines and song changes. The music is upbeat with both modern and traditional elements. 

The PROM

Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town Indiana prom – and the press is involved – they know that its time to put a spotlight on the issueand themselves. The towns parents want to keep the dance on the straight and narrowbut when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadways brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the towns citizens and the result is love that brings them all together.
